Bats are still around.

We had a breakfast cruise through Katherine Gorge.

This cliff was one of the locations in
Jedda, the first colour movie
made in Oz (1955). More on the movie, including video clips can be found
here.

After Katherine Gorge, we started back for Darwin, making several stops.
Swimmers at Edith Falls.

We also stopped at
Pine Creek, a former gold mining town which had a sizeable Chinese population. Some photos of that era can be viewed
here.

The following shot of Ah Toy's General Store was taken through the window of our moving tour bus. More on the Ah Toys
here,
here and
here.

Another stop at nearby Adelaide River War Cemetery...

...and a drink at the local inn.

Cheryl at the 303 Bar. Note the 303 rifles on display.

This buffalo starred in
Crocodile Dundee. It was stuffed and put on display at this inn after its death.

We went to Mindil Beach in Darwin at sunset...

..to dine on local food at the night market there.

The guy below was playing
Bengawan Solo on his flute. For those of you who don't know this old Malaysian/Indonesian classic,
here is a version I found on the web.

Cheryl shops!
